Movie Review Time~

The Punisher: War Zone

Its another Punisher movie, Punisher: War Zone, which has no connection with the last Punisher flick that came out in 2004. The bloody gory, intensity and not to mention, the violence. It all adds up in being a good action packed movie. You can see the Punisher dishing out hot platters of death to a mansion filled with mobsters at the start. What can I say? Purely ruthless aggression. Expected of a Punisher. Quality action at its very best. Very gory to watch.

This movie is example on why does simple things get complicated. Pursuing his vengeance against the mob, he accidentally kills a undercover FBI agent during the course of the massacre. The Punisher was content to quit the justice business for good. Things start to change when he found out that when the dead FBI's wife and daughter was kidnapped by Jigsaw. As expected, he went back to his old ways in order to bring justice to Jigsaw. The plot is quite touching, to me actually. His prime motivation to save them is, mainly from my point of view, is the daughter. The daughter reminds the Punisher of his own daughter, whom he lost in the first movie. So much being ruthless, Punisher do have a soft side of him.

The villains, Jigsaw and his brother, James. Frankly speaking, the Jigsaw is a joke and James is a pathethic psycho. They're certainly not the meanest and scariest villains around. But one thing I like about them, is that they're funny, charismatic and unique. The prolonged scene in the film where Jigsaw is going around recruiting a new gang, that's funny. You've got to watch the movie. They're not your ordinary villains. Trust me.

Oh well. I certainly had a good time watching this movie. This is not certainly a must-watch-movie. If you afraid you'll be wasting money watching this movie. you can actually watch it online from movie6.net(very bad quality) or get the dvd from Malaysia(damn you cheapskate piracy supporters). High intensity action, brutal violence and some world class machismo served by a dark and complicated character like Frank Castle. If you're looking for a gory action movie, this is the one for you.
